Amy Abdul serves as IT Specialist and Lead Instructor at North America Technical Institute (NATI), providing technical leadership and advanced instruction in information technology, artificial intelligence, machine learning, cloud computing, and emerging technologies. In this role, she manages and supports NATI’s IT infrastructure, Microsoft Azure environments, system integrations, data security, and technology platforms while leading the development and delivery of AI-focused training and educational programs. Her AI responsibilities include designing and teaching applied AI/ML curricula; developing hands-on training in generative AI, large language models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), prompt engineering, agentic AI workflows, Python, machine learning, deep learning, and data engineering; creating AI-powered instructional demonstrations and projects using tools such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, embeddings, vector retrieval, Spark, and Databricks; and integrating AI applications into NATI’s student learning, academic analytics, retention, and program-performance initiatives. She also develops AI-driven tools, including context-grounded RAG chatbots and predictive models, and provides technical guidance to instructors and students on the responsible and practical use of AI technologies. Amy’s qualifications include doctoral-level study in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning at George Washington University, with graduate coursework in Python data analytics, AI-enabled systems, machine learning, data engineering, deep learning/NLP, computer vision, and generative AI, as well as the Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Apps and Agents Developer Associate credential.
