Instructors have the option of giving the grade of Incomplete (“I”) only to a student whose work in a course has been satisfactory, but who, because of illness or other circumstances beyond the student’s control, has been unable to complete some small part of the work of the course. The student must remove the “I” grade by completing work assigned by the instructor. It is the responsibility of the student to request and make arrangements with the instructor to complete the work by the end of the following quarter. Otherwise the “I” automatically becomes an administrative (“F”). An administrative “F” counts as a “0” in determining the grade point average.
