It is important that students fully understand the educational and financial consequences of a decision to withdraw from the Institute. Any student who wishes to withdraw from the Institute should complete the Institute Withdrawal Form and provide to a school representative, who in receipt of the Form must provide it to the Campus Director. A student who is absent from four consecutive classes in all course(s) will be administratively withdrawn from the Institute, regard-less of whether the student submitted Institute Withdrawal Form.
Before withdrawing from a course, program, or from the Institute, a student should confer with an Academic Advisor and the Business Office and follow NATI’s policies for withdrawal. Stu-dents withdrawing or administratively withdrawn before the last day to withdraw without academic penalty will receive a grade of “W” (withdrew). The last day to withdraw without academic penalty is at the 25% of clock hours required for a course or program. Students withdrawing or administratively withdrawn after the last day to withdraw without academic penalty will receive a “WF” (withdrew failing) for the course. Withdrawal deadlines are indicated in each quarter’s class schedule.
A course from which a student has withdrawn and received a “W” grade will not affect the student’s CGPA. The course hours will, however, be added into hours attempted for the purpose of evaluating the student’s maximum time frame for completion and successful course or program completion. Courses from which a student has withdrawn and received a “WP” or “WF” grade will affect the student’s CGPA as well as their maximum time frame for completion and successful course completion.
