Dr. Almala served as a Dean and Lead Faculty at a few colleges and Universities in the United States of America. He also served as a high school teacher for several years. Dr. Almala is a veteran educator with significant experience in wide range of areas in K-12 and higher education environments, specifically accreditation, educational research, curriculum design, development and implementation, technical education, and online learning.
Dr. Almala participated in the design, development and implementation of new or significantly revised programs and courses at several colleges and universities. He participated in curriculum action committee meetings, redesigned, developed, and taught developmental educational courses, in online and onground settings. Dr. Almala designed rubrics and matrices to assess student learning outcomes. He designed, developed and implemented several concentrations in undergraduate and graduate programs for onground and online delivery. Dr. Almala designed, developed and taught a wide-range and variety of undergraduate and graduate courses for onground and online delivery. Dr. Almala has a significant experience in faculty and staff hiring and development. He monitored, guided and mentored faculty on the delivery of course content, conducted classroom observations and annual reviews of faculty, and provided feedback to faculty regarding instructional and advising performance.
